Highlands Hammock State Park

Highlands Hammock State Park

Welcome to Timberline Glamping at Highlands Hammock State Park. Nestled in the heart of Sebring, Florida, Highlands Hammock State Park is a breathtaking destination rich in natural beauty and history. Established in 1931 and officially designated as Florida’s first state park in 1935, this remarkable preserve was made possible through the generosity of the Roebling family and the dedication of the local community. With towering ancient oaks, lush tropical vegetation, and winding trails, the park offers visitors a rare glimpse into Florida’s unspoiled wilderness. Many of its historic trails, bridges, and structures were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s and remain part of the park’s charm today.

At Timberline Glamping Highlands Hammock, guests can experience the beauty of this historic park while enjoying the comforts of a unique outdoor getaway. Explore scenic hiking trails, discover diverse ecosystems, and encounter native wildlife, including deer, alligators, and an incredible variety of birds. Take a guided tram tour through the park's stunning landscapes or simply unwind beneath the canopy of majestic oaks. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or quality time with family, Timberline Glamping offers the perfect blend of nature, history, and comfort.

What Is Glamping?

At Timberline Glamping, We believe that luxury and comfort should not be sacrificed when spending time outside.

You will have a very comfortable bed with proper linens.

You will have places to sit, places to eat, and places to charge your phone.

You will still be able to wake up and have a fresh cup of coffee from a Keurig Coffee Maker.

We do provide heaters in the winter and air conditioners in the summer, but remember this is a tent with a canvas exterior. The heating and cooling will be just enough to take the edge off, but will not have the same affect of a home.

Most Importantly, you will have a chance to re-imagine the world around you as you make special memories with family and friends.
